Here is a guide on how to check your BECE school placement as a graduate of Junior High School and do the self placement for a Senior High School if the automatic placement system did not put you in the right school. The SHS school placement, which is also called the BECE school placement, will start soon. Here’s what you need to do to find out where your BECE or SHS school will be for the year.

The Senior High School school placement will start soon, according to the Ghana Education Service (GES). After that, the Senior High School school placement portal will also be up and running today.

After the Basic Education Certificate Education (BECE) results for the academic year are released, all qualified Junior High School (JHS) graduates should start checking for their Senior High School (SHS) placement through the new Computerized School Selection and Placement System (CSSPS), which is now up and running.

The GES made this announcement in a Facebook post that explained how qualified Basic Education Certificate Education (BECE) graduates can check online to see where they are going to school.

Understanding The New CSSPS Placement System

The Ghana Education Service (GES) recently set up the Computerized School Selection and Placement System (CSSPS) to help get qualified Basic Education Certificate Education (BECE) graduates into Senior High School (SHS) and Technical and Vocational Institutes (TVIs).

BECE graduates should check to see which Senior High School (SHS) the Computerized School Selection and Placement System put them in (CSSPS).

HOW THE CSSPS AUTOMATIC PLACEMENT SYSTEM WORKS.

The Computerized School Selection and Placement System (CSSPS) has an automatic placement system that puts students in one of the five Secondary schools they chose when they registered for the Basic Education Certificate Education (BECE). Strictly based on how well the students do.

The Basic Education Certificate Education (BECE) graduates are put into Senior High Schools by the Computerized School Selection and Placement System (CSSPS). It does this by collecting data on all the students who took the Basic Education Certificate Education (BECE) Exam, finding the average of their grades, ranking them, and figuring out which of the five chosen schools they qualify for.

The basic education certificate education (BECE) is made up of six subjects: English, Mathematics, Social Studies, and any two of the best two elective subjects. The aggregate is made up of the best four subjects.

This placement is then done based on the programs students chose when they registered for the BECE, the cut-off grades for those programs, the number of open spots in the different Senior High Schools, and how well students did on the Exams.

The CSSPS automatic placement system does not, however, automatically place all candidates. Students who didn’t get into any of the five chosen schools during the Basic Education Certificate Education (BECE) registration process because they didn’t do well enough or didn’t meet any of the other above-mentioned requirements must do a “Self Placement.”

What does Self Placement into SHS mean?

If you couldn’t find a placement (you weren’t placed by the automatic placement system), you have to do self placement as described below.

The Ghana Education Service (GES) says that Self-placement is a manual process that lets candidates who didn’t get any of their first choices choose from the schools that still have openings.

To do self-placement, you need an e-voucher, which you can buy from the Computerized School Selection and Placement System (CSSPS) website. The Senior High School (SHS) placement e-voucher can be bought on the Computerized School Selection and Placement System (CSSPS) website or from vendors that the Ghana Education Service has approved (GES). Here Is A List Of All Vendors.

The price of an e-voucher is 5GHC, and it can be bought with mobile money. When you buy the e-voucher, you can use it as many times as you want.
